This ordinance repeals the Village of Somers' prior ordinance #16-007, which was adopted April 12, 2016 and which has been the subject of litigation between the Village of Somers, Town of Paris, Kenosha County, and City of Kenosha - see Kenosha County case number 2016CV000480. These jurisdictions have now negotiated a settlement to resolve this dispute and as part of this settlement the Village of Somers repeals its previous attachment of Town of Paris territory. This will return the 166 stated population to the Town of Paris
