Per a 07/23/24 City filing submittal of their prior ordinance #564, cited herein as originally transferring this same territory, it was discovered that there is no City or WI DOA MBR record of a prior City submittal of a Petition for Annexation Review for this territory, nor WI DOA review thereof, for their ordinance #564 adopted on 11/08/21. That deems the City's ordinance #564 to not have documentation of statutory compliance for a separate WI DOA filing pursuant to WI Stats. s.66.0217(9)(a) at this time. Additionally, it was discovered that the City ordinance #592's second legal description includes the territory for two County-owned Road Right-Of-Way parcels not specifically cited in the parcel numbers therein. - Jim Y.
MBR #14555 was also cited in the Clerk's certification letter. Per the "Note:" section of MBR #14553, there was evidence that this annexation could create "an island of isolated town territory contrary to s.66.0221." That concern does not appear to have been resolved with this ordinance's adoption/filing. - Jim Y.
