During the Annexation Petition Review process, the WI DOA MBR staff noted that "the annexation appears to leave some Highway 18 right-of-way which should be included in the annexation to completely eliminate the island." Upon this annexation ordinance's filing, City Surveyor and County LIO staff confirmed that this matter was resolved within an earlier annexation’s recording (Ord. 19-937).
