Total of 162.59 acres reported. City Ord. # A-540 was originally filed with the WI SOS Office as Ord. ID #7750 in January 2004. Upon further review per a Feb. 2024 WI Elections Commission inquiry, the WI DOA MBR discovered that the City Ord. # A-540 had an incomplete legal description text in its SECTION 3 and omitted any associated documentation of a complete legal description except that imprinted in the plat/scale map filed. Additionally, the SOS filing omitted the cite that there were two annexees. The SOS filed data only cited a territory transfer from the T. of Delton, Sauk County; not the cited/mapped additional transfer of adjacent territory from the T. of Lyndon, Juneau County. The WI DOA imported that erroneous SOS data into its MDS database is is in CY 2014 or 2015. On 01/16/2019, the City filed a so-called "correction ordinance" # A-837 with the WI DOA MBR that purportedly corrected the prior City Ord. # A-540. As such, the City Ord. # A-837 was originally just appended to the end of Ordinance ID # 7750 without any data edits accordingly. However, per the Feb. 2024 MBR review, City Ord. # A-837 actually only described new and separate State and County Highway ROW territory being transferred with no cite of a correction to the territory transferred in City Ord. # A-540. Therefore, on 02/20/24, the MDS Ordinance ID # 7750 was edited to correct the Annexee and County data and associated "Location Detail" data. A new MDS Ordinance ID #11769 was also created for the separate CY 2019 City Ord. # A-837 accordingly. - Jim Y.
