The City of Eau Claire is not a part of this Annexation, just the Town of Seymour in Eau Claire County is. However, since the Village of Lake Hallie jurisdiction currently lies only within Chippewa County and not in Eau Claire County, the MDS app requires that a Chippewa County community be cited as one of the Annexees to be able to process the annexation of the new Eau Claire County portion of the Village of Lake Hallie into the MDS app. Thus, the City of Eau Claire was arbitrarily selected to fulfil that task.
